Ideas for the Great Game!

Post by awesomestickman on Sun Feb 12, 2017 5:03 pm

This topic will include my ideas for High Treason.
-You could add stickmen with guns (rifleman, sniper, etc.).
-You could add a Sandbox mode where the player has as many goods as they wish and they can purposefully spawn enemies to test things.
-You could add Developments for the stickmen with guns (maybe the Sniper has even more range).
-You could add Paratroopers so then they could launch an attack without destroying the walls. But if their parachutes are hit by an arrow or gun bullet (stones will just make the paratrooper swing to the left or right, depending on where it hit the parachute), it rips open and the paratrooper takes damage from their fall. If they fall from high enough, they are killed.
-You could a development for the paratroopers (their parachutes are stronger, maybe).
-You could add a Miner where he could dig underground and pop up. Like the paratrooper, they also attack without destroying the walls. Water is its weakness.
That's all my ideas.

I already thought about an different setting like: Romans or modern Combats including Guns, Tanks and maybe parachutes.

But for now I want to remain faithful to the Middle Ages. So guns will not be an option.

I like your ideas of "Sandbox" and "Miners". The miners could dig underground to pass walls. There are soooo many beautiful ideas, ans so few time to implement them :/

That's OK. The game's already really good, so those ideas are just things to make it even better. Also, as I was just typing this, I thought of something, but it going to take a long time. If you could make the setting of the game the Middle Ages first, then it just has everything in the game right now. Then, if you beat all the levels of the Middle Ages, then you unlock a different world and some stickmen too like the ones I mentioned above. And when you get to World War 1 and World War 2 worlds, then you have multiple enemies to fight, but they sometimes also attack each other since it's a World War. Then you continue unlocking worlds and things, and soon maybe they could even unlock a world in the future with force fields and lasers and stuff. Like I said, this is already a great game, so it's OK if you don't put this into the game because it also takes a long time to do that.

Sounds great. I'll implement it in a parallel universe, wehere I earn enough money to create games the whole day.

Hey there, though I think those ideas are pretty cool, I agree with keeping it Middle Ages. The only thing I would suggest is an exclamation point notification for when enemies are attacking like on the tile, (more noticeable attack notification) and also less lag for huge armies. I once had an army of 320 something guys and the game lagged out hard. And if it is possible, multiple people in a multiplayer game would be awesome. Otherwise, wonderful game.

The game shouldn't have a notification system for attacks since it's a strategy game and adding notifications for those things would ruin the game. But I agree with your idea of multiple people in a multiplayer game. Also I think it's the computer and not the game's fault for the lag, since I tested the game on one desktop computer which was really fast and my laptop-tablet hybrid, which was slower. On the desktop computer, I had 9 villages and attacked with 132 Militias and the game ran in perfect condition. On my laptop-tablet hybrid, I had 4 villages and attacked with a siege tower with 30 archers on top and it was already lagging.
